iPod touch 6 draining really fast

Hello, i just bought my iPod touch 6th gen on January 2016 which means my iPod is only a few months old. Yet i am starting to see battery problems, i usually use my iPod for web browsing and for YouTube. And my battery only lasts for about 2.5 hours of use and 3.5 hours if i get lucky. Is this a software problem or is this a hardware problem of some sort. I take good care of my iPod i always recharge before 20% any solutions?

First try:

Battery life problems with iOS 9? Here's the fix!

and:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
